Yeah....as a matter of fact, ALL of you have probably heard something about it! But just in case you haven't, here's the rundown:
As you know, most pageants have a Q & A portion that they will be judged on to gain perspective on the contestants' head knowledge. Miss California was asked her question by the openly gay pageant judge, Perez Hilton (who's REAL name is Mario Armando Lavandeira).
The question the he asked her was as follow: "There are now 4 states that have legalized same-sex marriage, do you think other states should follow suit?" I'll paraphrase her reply....she said, "I think its great that in America we have the right to choose and No offense to anyone, but I believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. That's how I was raised, and that's what I believe." After the pageant, Perez Hilton proceeds to curse her and call her names that are even as crude as, "A dumb B****" on NATIONAL TELEVISION!
I have so much to say on this topic that I couldnt POSSIBLY put it all into just this one blog so I'll limit my response!!! As a judge, Perez Hilton had background information on all the contestants involved. "Ironically," Miss California was a student at a CHRISTIAN university! Hmmmm.....I wonder if Perez knew this BEFORE he asked her this question....for SURE.
We are living in a world where RIGHT NOW legislation is being made where it will be considered "hate speech" to speak against homosexuality, even from the Bible! Before long, quoting Romans 1 will be ILLEGAL. Well, let me ask a question...why is it hate speech to say "homosexuality is wrong and is a sin" but it's not hate speech to call someone the name for a FEMALE DOG?! Last time I checked, calling black people a "n_gger" isn't hate speech either....WOW.
Who are we? What are we thinking? Does this even make sense?
Since when is it even smart to trust the opinion of a GUY who thinks he's a GIRL but has a guy name and didnt like it so he chose a girl name...but an ORIGINAL girl name wasn't good enough so he picked a knock off of another girls name? SERIOUSLY?? This guy is so confused within his own self that i hardly doubt that he even has the capacity, let alone the credentials, to be judging someone else on the legitimacy of who they are. But yet this is who people are listening to....this is who the media calls to "judge" others.....Im at a loss!
Why is it that people can say WHATEVER THEY WANNA SAY TO AND ABOUT CHRISTIANS....but as soon as Christians say something against their actions, there's a problem??? THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY, RIGHT?! Isn't that the excuse everybody uses to do whatever their hearts desire? Pshhh....This makes me sick...
Just for the record, I am so proud of Miss California. She stood up for what she believed in, and more importantly RIGHTEOUSNESS, even though she is a representative for one of the most liberal states in the country...Especially when it comes to homosexuality! San Francisco is the most heavily populated homosexual area in the country and Miss California stood in the face of all of that! BRAVO....
I may not know everything about the last days, but what I do know is that the church will have to stand for righteousness like never before! If Miss California can do it.....we can all do it....
